Min Min
Dance Never Left Min’s Heart.
Min has loved dancing for as long as she can remember.
As a little girl, she would dance whenever she heard music. It wasn’t about performing or being admired—it was simply where she felt most alive.
At 18, Min passed the auditions to train as a professional dancer. She was filled with excitement, believing that the life she had always dreamed of was finally within reach.
But her parents didn’t share her dream.
Believing that a university education would offer a more secure future, they insisted she study German literature instead. Out of love and respect, Min followed their wishes. She put away her dancing shoes, but she could never put away the longing in her heart.
For the next thirty years, life unfolded as it does for many women. She studied, built a career, raised a family, and embraced the responsibilities life placed before her. Yet quietly, beneath it all, the little girl who loved to dance never disappeared.
Then, thirty years later, life offered her a second chance.
When Min discovered social dancing, it felt as though a part of her soul had finally awakened. She immersed herself in every partner dance she could find—ballroom, Latin, swing, salsa, bachata—eager to learn, to grow, and to make up for the years she had missed.
Dance gave her far more than beautiful steps. It brought her strength, health, confidence, lifelong friendships, and a deep sense of inner peace. More importantly, it led her back to herself.
Then she found Argentine tango.
Tango spoke to her heart in a way no other dance had. It taught her that dancing is not about perfect technique, but about listening, trust, connection, vulnerability, and embracing another person with honesty and respect. Tango became much more than a dance—it became her philosophy of life.
Her passion led her across the world to study with renowned maestros, attend festivals and milongas, and immerse herself in the rich culture, history, and music that give Argentine tango its soul. Every journey deepened not only her understanding of tango, but also her understanding of people, relationships, and herself.
Today, Min is honoured to share that journey with others.
As a teacher, performer, and organiser, she has created a warm and welcoming tango community where people of all ages and backgrounds can experience the joy of connection through dance. Nothing brings her greater happiness than seeing someone walk into a class feeling uncertain and leave with a smile, new friends, and renewed confidence.
Min believes that dreams do not have an expiry date.
Sometimes they simply wait for us to be ready.
Looking back, she no longer sees those thirty years as time lost. They became part of the path that shaped her into the person she is today—a woman who understands that it is never too late to rediscover what makes your heart come alive.
Dance never gave up on Min.
It simply waited patiently until she found her way home.
